We’ve had a great start to 2018, and as the office has grown increasingly busy we’re excited to welcome many new members to the team!
Gemma – Onboarding Technician
Responsible for working with new clients and overseeing the full set-up process, Gemma comes from a strong customer service background and has really hit the ground running. Ludicrously organised, and usually to be found buried under a pile of post-it notes, when Gemma manages to escape the office she enjoys drawing and painting, editing film, playing PS3 and Xbox games, taking the dog for a walk, and creating stop motion animation.
Matt Allen – Support Technician
As the old saying goes, ‘The only thing better than one Matt is two’… Possibly one of the lesser known ones, but we’ve certainly found that having Matt Allen on board has been a vast improvement to the office, even if having a second Matt has been a bit puzzling for the switchboard. Coming from a computing background, when he’s not here confusing us, Matt spends time taking photos, reading, and playing video games
Adrian – Part Time Support Technician
Currently studying for his Masters Degree in Law at Exeter Uni, Adrian was originally employed to work weekends but keeps turning up during the week – clearly he likes us too much to stay away. It’s hard to complain though, especially when he’s made such a difference to the team; plans are already afoot to persuade him to stay on full time at the end of his course! A keen festival-goer, Adrian enjoys visiting new places as much as possible, as well as playing lacrosse and climbing.
Angela – Part Time Support Technician
With 18 years’ experience in customer service, and superhuman problem solving skills, Angela has been a fantastic addition to the team, and is already a firm favourite with everyone she’s spoken to! Mum to a very active 18 month old, her days off are usually spent running around outside with him, but when she gets a moment to herself she also enjoys walking at a more reasonable pace, and reading.
Nick – Senior Software Architect
Coming from a strong development background, and as a qualified lecturer for the Open University, Nick has already shaken things up in the office, streamlining the ways in which we structure development, and bringing everything up to date. With the introduction of sprints, stand ups, spikes, and scrums, most of the office are living in fear of sit-ups being the next addition – but there’s no arguing with the fantastic development results! When away from the office, Nick spends time indulging in DIY projects, fly fishing, and keeping bees.
Scott – Client Relationship Manager (Wales and Midlands)
Scott joined the company having worked with our friends at K3 Retail, so he’s come on board with a great understanding of how DigiTickets runs already. A whizz at all things technical, he’s already our go to person for hardware issues – something we’re sure he’s thrilled about! When he’s not fixing tills Scott enjoys spending time with his 2 year old, as well as PC gaming, reading anime, and designing board games.
Having the new team members on board has already made a huge difference to the company, and we’re looking forward to growing even more in the coming months – watch this space!
